About Bart Bales, PE MSME

Bart Bales is a registered professional engineer in five states (MA, NY, CT, RI, VT) with a Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. Bales Energy Associates is an Energy and Facility Advisor for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts under a state-wide contract; as such he is pre-approved to provide energy advisory services to any state, municipal entity, school district or water district in Massachusetts. He is a regular provider of utility funded energy analyses. He is currently serving as an advisor to a number of towns and cities on their Green Communities projects.

Bart Bales is an active member of Northeast Sustainable Energy Association (NESEA) and has served on the board of directors and conference planning committees. Since 1997, he has chaired and spoken annually at well-received sessions and workshops at the annual Building Energy Conference in Boston, Massachusetts.

For the Building Energy 2010 conference, Bart was track chair for the 2-day Mechanical Systems Retrofit Track and a speaker on building controls and on ground-source heat pumps. In 2011, he spoke on premium efficiency boilers and boiler controls.

Bart Bales is also a member of the Green Roundtable, the Association of Energy Engineers, and a member and former chapter president of the Association of Heating, Refrigeration, and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE).
